Do you know of a community group that would benefit from using the Phoenix?

The King Alfred Phoenix is committed to increasing access so more people can benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities.

We want to enable community groups, charities and local state schools to use the venue free of charge as we are keenly aware of the positive impact participation in the arts can have, especially for our young people. We firmly believe that cost should never be a barrier to nurturing creativity and supporting future generations of artists.

Our studio theatre can accommodate a variety of events. It is a flexible venue that can be used as:

  • a fully-functioning 120 seat theatre for performances or conferences;
  • a state-of-the-art music venue;
  • airy, light rehearsal space.

We have facilities for refreshments and are supported by an experienced technician who is available to help ensure that all events run smoothly.

Transport links are good – we are close to Golders Green and Hampstead stations on the Northern line as well as serviced by numerous bus routes. The Phoenix also has step-free access.

So, if you know of a community group or similar organisation that would benefit from using our theatre, but which might not have the financial means to hire the space, please encourage them to get in touch. Whether it’s staging a production, a concert or working with young people to enable them to learn from technicians or directors, we’re keen to hear from them.
