DreamArts Rep Company, an innovative young theatre company, is bringing their electrifying new production What We Do When We Can’t Dance to the King Alfred Phoenix Theatre on Saturday 30 May. This exciting performance fuses original music & lyricism, theatre, and film to tell a gripping coming-of-age tale about friendship, courage, and the choices that shape who we become.
James has an ambition to live in the city and with a very persuasive, but unreliable older brother, Jackie; James finishes his exams, leaves home and moves in with Jackie in London. However, he leaves behind an unexpected but blossoming relationship with his next-door neighbour Stella as well as his childhood best friend, Moses.
Then, on the night of his 18th birthday, a shocking revelation from his best friend threatens to shatter everything James thought he knew about love, loyalty and the future…
