Gráinne Maguire- Guys- It’s Problematic

Award-winning comedian Gráinne Maguire (Dave’s UnSpun and Radio 4’s Now Show) brings a sparkling, exhilarating and life-affirming show about why we should all be Team Titanic. ‘Sarcastically and scabrously hilarious’ (Chortle.co.uk). She has appeared on Dave’s UnSpun with Matt Forde, Comedy Central’s Alternative Comedy Experience, RTE’s Cutting Edge and can be heard on Radio 4’s The Now Show, More Money Than Sense, An Idiot’s Guide, Breaking The News and Radio 2’s What If? Nick Revell: Eurasia’s Most Eligible Psychopaths and Their Lovely Homes

Nick Revell returns to Edinburgh with a new story of despotic megalomania, sex, violence, reality tv and global power-politics on the new Silk Road. Plus celebrity hostage situation! And possibly, eye-witness account of the post-darts bar-fight between Gwyneth and Taylor in a North London boozer. Voted Favourite Act at Laugharne Festival 2019, and star of BBC’s BrokenDreamCatcher.

Starting out as a writer for topical shows like Weekending and The News Huddlines on BBC Radio and Not the Nine O’Clock News on BBC TV in the late 70s, Nick Revell began performing as a stand-up at the Comedy Store in 1980. TV and Radio includes Friday Night Live, Live at Jongleurs, two visits to the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, co-writer and co-star with Andy Hamilton in several series of the award-winning Million Pound Radio Show on BBC Radio 4, two series of the Radio 4 sit-com The Nick Revell Show, and his own show Nick Revell, on BBC-1. Rachel Creeger – Hinayni!

Is Rachel ever honestly present in the moment? It’s funny how seeing herself in someone else’s reflection sparks thoughts she only admits to herself in the middle of the night. Or on stage. Sometimes it takes a little darkness to shine a light on the truth. The only Orthodox Jewish Female Comedian currently on the UK comedy circuit returns to the Fringe with a bravely funny and captivating show.

Rachel Creeger has been running and compering comedy gigs since 2011 and is resident MC for Upstairs at the Adam & Eve. She is an award winning comedian and director, and an established writer, known for dark comedies ‘An Insomniac’s Guide To Ambulances’ and ‘Staffroom’. Rachel has been touring her 4* reviewed, sell out solo show ‘It’s No Job For A Nice Jewish Girl’, winner of the Best Comedy Award at the Greater Manchester Fringe 2017, around the UK and Israel, to full houses and great acclaim. As heard on BBC Radio London (regular guest) and BBC 3CR.
